Good Maintenance Practices:
- Before the purchase and installation of a windshield wiper motor, make sure it is the correct fit for your vehicle
- Clear all debris from wiper arms before operation
- When replacing the wiper arm be sure to have the wipers stopped in the park position
- Keep wiper linkage free from obstructions
- Regularly inspect the motor are and the park ramp for signs of damage or wear and replace them if signs of damage are found
- Refer to your Vehicle Owner’s manual for additional vehicle maintenance practices
Signs of wear or damage for the windshield wiper motor include but are not limited to:
- Wiper not operating
- Linkage off motor arm
- Incorrect park position
