Before purchasing and installing door handles, make sure they are the correct size and fit for your vehicle.
- Keep the door latch lubricated to avoid excessive pulling of handle to open the door.
- If additional lubrication is needed, use a multi-purpose lubricant.
- Replace worn door pins to keep door properly aligned with latch post.

Service door handles when signs of wear or failure are displayed, such as:
- Handle not operating the latch
- Door sagging on the door post
- Handle lever broken
