Before purchasing and installing an engine crankshaft position sensor, make sure it is the correct fit for your vehicle
- Keep engine oil and filter changed and level full
- Have diagnostic scan done if check engine light illuminates
- Regularly inspect engine crankshaft position sensors for signs of damage or wear and replace them if signs of damage are found
Signs of wear for engine crankshaft position sensors include but are not limited to:
- Acceleration problems
- Engine misfires
- Rough engine idle
- Engine stall
