  • Due to the critical nature of the design of air bag systems, GM does not support the use of any used, salvaged, or imitation parts for repair. Only new, genuine GM warranted parts should be used in repair.
  • Disconnect the power supply before servicing the airbag.
  • Have the SRS system serviced by a trained professional.
  • Regularly inspect occupant detection sensors for signs of damage or wear, and replace them if signs of damage are found.
