These brake pads are formulated using traditional friction material integrated with iron or steel fibers, increasing durability. Semi-Metallic brake pads readily handle higher temepratures and dissipate heat from the brake rotor surface, reducing brake fade. Noise and vibration concerns are reduced by chamfering and/or slotting in the fiction material, along with use of specialized backing plate shims. Noise-dampening hardware kits are included when applicable.
